1ST ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR

Time:     10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.    
Place:    Mt. Vernon Church, 4881 S. College St., Auburn
Cost:      FREE   


Diabetes screening, hypertension screening, weight screening, door prizes and much, much more!!!

Come join us during our 1st Annual Community Health Fair at Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday, October 4th! This community-wide event will provide an opportunity for active participation in health education and counseling. Planned activities include blood donation and mental, sexual, and physical health education. There will be screening and counseling for blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, physical fitness, and nutrition, along with a host of other health attractions. Transportation is available for the elderly.

FUN RUN/WALK


Date:    Saturday, August 30, 2008   
Time:    7:00 a.m.   
Place:    walking trail near Chewacla State Park - Auburn   

Description:     Participants will run 2 miles or walk one mile. Each participant is asked to have at least one sponsor at $1 per minute that it takes to complete the FUN RUN/WALK with donation not to exceed $30. There is a $1 registration fee for each participant. T-shirts and prizes are available for participants with 2 or more sponsors. Everyone is invited to attend.
